  • These are the Road Kings ’75 genuine Collins custom hand wound symmetrical stagger modern pickup set made from the finest materials
  • Not a modeled pickup but rather a new development single coil pickup with a symmetrical stagger for modern 9-12 inch radius necks and modern string configurations.187 Alnico 5 magnets oriented S-N-S spec and calibrated for strength
  • (Why a symmetrical stagger?? Understanding that the “Vintage Stagger” came in a time when most strings had wound G string. And the vintage stagger was introduced to compensate for the perceived volume differences between the wound and un-wound strings)
These pickups are overwound progressively 7.5% to bridge for balance and a slightly hotter output.
High quality red vulcanized fiber flatwork .062 top with gray .093  bottoms
Made in the U.S.A. hand wound in Texas in my own shop
  • Though ohms are subject to change in temperature these read around
  • 5.65 K (neck) 2.06 Henries
  • 6.23 K (mid) 2.36 Henries
  • 6.47 K (bridge) 2.60 Henries
    measured around 70 degrees

The sandcast alnico 5 magnets were sealed before winding in my own resin formula to prevent magnet to wire failure
Wound with a beautiful bright red modern poly-nylon AWG42 wire and potted in paraffin/bees wax to silence microphonics.
Vintage black/white cloth wiring. Vintage surgical rubber tubing with nickel screws

  • 52mm spacing profile
  • Note: These Model T-175 scatterwound pickups will hum cancel in the 4th and 2nd positionsThey have all the quack and chime early single coils are known for with higher output
Dripping with tone and ready to rock
They will shine in Blues, Rock, Classic Rock, Psychedelic Blues, Jazz or Country any genre you put them through
Whether you are custom building, replacing a non working pickup or just want to breath life into an old guitar this is your ticket

Much of your tone is in your hands while no one can promise that you will play like Hendrix, Clapton, Gallagher or Blackmore by a pickup upgrade you will have the tools at your disposal to take you there
