This is a brand-new Variax James Tyler JTV-69S (1st gen.) highly-modded by S71 Guitars in Switzerland with a Conversion 24.75 (Gibson scale) « Luthier » neck Handmade in Rochester, NY, USA in American Black Walnut and a rare Lacewood fretboard. A full-set of real Handwound Pickups « 1968 Voodoo » replicas Handmade in EU by a true Vintage expert. Schaller Made in Germany « DA VINCI » High-end tuners. All that with a superb and lightweight Alder body made from the renowned Yamaha craftsmanship. James Tyler fast-loading Two-point Tremolo with Godin L.R-Baggs Piezo saddles.

  • Superb piece of American Black Walnut 24.75 conversion neck (Gibson scale) Handmade by luthier in Rochester, NY, USA.
  • Rare Lacewood Radius 12 fretboard with 21 Medium/Jumbo frets and Clay-off White inlays.
  • Custom Shop « C » profile .84/.92 (21/23mm) similar to Fender CS2 shape. (full details at the bottom)
  • Graph Tech Canada « Nubone » nut, definitely the best nut. 20 years of research to develop the Nubone model.
  • Handfinished with Tru-oil and Wax by Birchwood Casey on the neck the exact method as used on Musicman necks.
  • Real Handwound Pickups « VooDoo » replicating the 1968 Jimi Hendrix sound on «  electric Ladyland ».
  • Authentic details and scatter wound winding (winded w/out machine only by hand just like in the 50’s, 2 hours of winding per Pickup). Handmade in EU by Alex, a true Vintage expert.
  • Staggered Alnico V with resistance:
  • Neck – 6.1 K / Middle – 6.1 K / Bridge – 6.5 K. These pickups have a slightly brighter sound in the middle range. (Black Pickups covers can be swapped for « whites » at no cost)
