’51 Flat Pole

Using our own vintage correct fibreboard flat work and Alnico V magnets, the ’51 Flat Pole P single coil is an accurate reproduction of the first Bass pickup. With its characteristic bright tone, the 42AWG plain enamel scatter-wound coil produces a dynamic feel with the extended frequency response of a true single coil. Low notes are solid and focused, while mids and highs cut through effectively for a mature and authoritative performance. As per the original design, the coil is string wrapped and hookup is vintage correct yellow and black cloth ‘push back’.
